Timothy Wayne Smith

Timothy Wayne Smith, age 59, of Cleveland, MS, passed away peacefully at his home on October 20, 2025.

Born on March 2, 1966, in Shelby, MS, Timmy was the cherished son of Marion Marvin Smith and Shirley Ann Smith. He completed his high school education at Cleveland High School in 1984 and continued to pursue his academic goals at Delta State University. Timmy proudly served as an Army Gulf War Veteran from 1986 to 1993.

On September 1, 1995, Timmy married his beloved wife, Robin McCuan, and together they created a loving family. He dedicated 25 years of his career managing Air Gas in Clarksdale. Timmy was a devoted family man; his greatest joy in life came from nurturing and spoiling his daughters and grandchildren. He had a passion for cooking and participated in cooking competitions. Timmy also enjoyed listening to music, watching football with his grandchildren, and taking leisurely drives while playing his favorite tunes.

Timmy is remembered for his generous spirit and vibrant personality. He had a big heart and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His love for gatherings and celebrating life with family and friends will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Shirley Smith, and his grandparents, Otto and Martha Griffin. Timmy is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Robin McCuan Smith, and their daughters, Samantha Nicole Smith and Lindsey Brianna Smith, both of Cleveland, MS. He is also survived by his brother, David Smith (Minhae) of Huntsville, AL, his sister, Theresa Smith of Cleveland, MS, and uncles Stan and Mike Griffin of Cleveland, MS. Additionally, he leaves behind his treasured grandchildren: Logan Ryan Burnside, Kaden Allen Burnside, Maizy Faye Arbuckle, Olivia Ann Arbuckle, and Braxton Bentlee James, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

In honor of Timmy's memory, the family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
