Troy Murphree

Troy Lane Murphree age 62 of Drew, MS passed away Sunday September 29, 2013 at his home. Troy was born July 16, 1951 to Woodrow Wilson and Faye Collins Murphree in Bruce, MS. Troy graduated from Bruce High School and attended North West Mississippi Community College. Troy worked for Landmark Furniture Manufacturing for 40 years before his retirement. He was an avid Ole Miss fan who always enjoyed watching the games on TV. To his family, Troy was known as "Mr. Fix It" always taking care of each need as it arose. Visitation will be Tuesday October 1, 2013 from 5-7 Pm at Cleveland Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Troy is survived by his wife of 27 years Carolyn Russell Murphree of Drew, MS. Two daughters; Rhonda Jones of Oxford, MS and Tracy Carpenter of Cleveland, MS. Son Randy Poyner of Bruce, MS, Sister Carolyn Brown of Horn Lake, Ms. 9 grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
