Virginia Hoop Jones

GUNNISON - Virginia Blanche Hoop Jones, age 64, of Gunnison, died on Wednesday February 11, 2009 at the Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. She was born on June 15, 1944 to Lowmack and Effie (Butler) Hoop in Merigold. She married Jerry Jones on August 15, 1985 in Ft. Myers FL. She was a former supervisor for Handy Food Inc. Mrs. Jones attended Waxhaw Baptist Church. Her family says she was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother and will be miss by all who new her. Family will receive friends from 1:00pm Sunday February 15, 2009 until 2:00PM at Cleveland Funeral Home. Memorial Services will be held 3:00PM Sunday February 15, 2009 at Waxhaw Baptist Church in Gunnison, MS. The Rev. Pete Newsome Will officiate the services. Cleveland Funeral Home is in Charge of arrangements. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by Daughter Tina Tanner, Son, Howard Eugene Canady and 3 Sisters, Annie Hoop, Effie Mae Strople and Janie Lee Burch. She is survived by Husband, Jerry Jones of Gunnison, MS. Son, Tracy Canady of Gunnison, MS. Four Brothers, Lenard Hoop of Naples, FL, L. J. Hoop of Oxford, MS, Johnny Hoop of Atkins, AR, Mack Hoop of Cleveland, MS. Six Sisters, Patricia Owens of Leland, MS, Mary Sanderson of Merigold, MS, Pat Klein of Orlando, FL, Jewell Bohn of Port Charlotte, FL, Katie Pool of Port Charlotte, FL, Martha Mills of Derby, KS. 13 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren
