Willis Harold "Bill" Lamb

Willis Harold "Bill" Lamb, age 87, of Litton, MS, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at North Sunflower Medical Center in Ruleville, MS.

Bill was born on August 9, 1938, to Jim Tom Lamb and Ila Burton Lamb in the Litton Community. He attended Shaw Schools and dedicated much of his working life to serving the community through various roles, including positions with the Bolivar County road maintenance department, Topango Fish Farm, and the Boyle-Skene Water Association. Bill’s retirement allowed him the opportunity to care for his beloved mother, who lived to the remarkable age of 104.

A true lover of animals, Bill cherished spending holidays surrounded by family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed bringing joy to those around him by making jokes. His passion for the outdoors was evident; he seized every opportunity to appreciate nature.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Ila and Jim Tom Lamb, and his siblings: Helen Elizabeth Worbington, Ralph Lamb, Bettye Cohen, Glynn Lamb, Andrew Lamb, Kent Lamb, Mabel Pigatti, Bobby Lamb, Terry Lamb, and Maxine Gibson. He is survived by his niece, Lee Saxon, of Ruleville, MS great niece Samantha Saxon of Sunflower, MS, as well as his siblings: Sue Sneed of Memphis, TN, Jim Tom Lamb, Jr. of Texas, Sarah Cato of Windsor, SC, and Bonnie Wigington of Shaw, MS. He leaves behind a host of other nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 3:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Bill will be laid to rest in Shaw Cemetery. Blake Crocker will be delivering the eulogy.

Pallbearers are Rob Linkous, Chris Sanders, Blake Crocker, Hayden Rokasky, Randle May, Joey Herbison, and Carter Crocker.

During this difficult time, Cleveland Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Bill's family.
