Owens Chisolm

CLEVELAND - Owens  Chisolm, age 82, of Cleveland, MS passed on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at the Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 24, 2019, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland.  Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 AM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be at the Beulah Cemetery in Beulah, MS. Reverend Robert Haney will officiate the services.

Owens was born on September 16, 1936, to James Columbus and Cordie (White) Chisolm in Greenville, MS.   He grew up in the Bolivar County area. Owens was a former farmhand for Circle H Farms. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and playing the guitar. Owens was a quiet man but a religious man, he loved watching sermons on the television and read his Bible every day.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Cordie Chisolm, three brothers, James Earl Lee, and Douglas Chisolm, two sisters, Mildred Robertson, and Peggy Johnson.

 Owens is survived by three sons, Billy Chisolm of Skene, MS.  Son, Mark Chisolm of Cleveland, MS.  and, Kenneth Chisolm of Huntsville, AL. A sister, Ona Arlion Chisolm Crocker of Greenville, MS. Five grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Dakoda Chisolm, Landon Chisolm, David Chisolm, Richard Chisolm, Randy Johnson, and Joseph Cummins.

Honorary pallbearers are Mike Lofton, Jack Blythe, and Bubba Bowen.
