BOYLE- Robert Rudolph Taylor, Jr died on July 11, 2020, at University Medical Center Jackson, Ms.
He was born July 14, 1938, to Rudolph and Betty Murrell Taylor in Shaw, Ms. He worked 33 years as a Law Enforcement Officer with the MS Department of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks in Bolivar County. He was a long time member and served on the Board of the Hunting Point Hunting Club. He was also a Member of the American Legion Post #126 of Shaw, Ms where he served many years as President. He was a Member of the First Baptist Church of Boyle, Ms. He was a life long hunter and fisherman and loved his family and friends dearly.
Robert was predeceased by his parents Rudolph and Betty Murrell Taylor and wife Joan Stanfill Taylor.
Robert is survived by his wife Judith Burrell Taylor of Boyle, Ms; daughter Melanie Taylor Williams (Al) of Shaw, Ms; step-son Brad Jones (Michelle) of Boyle, Ms; grandsons Adam Williams (Lauren ) of Skene, Ms, Jonathan Williams (Lindsay) of Cleveland, Ms, and Charlie Jones of Boyle, Ms; and great-grandchildren Wyatt Williams, June Williams, Luke Williams, and Reese Williams; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2020, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church Boyle. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist of Boyle Sanctuary. Burial will follow in the Shaw Cemetery. Reverend Robert Haney and Reverend Clarence Edwards will officiate the service.
Pallbearers are Otis Hill, Adam Williams, Jonathan Williams, Charlie Jones, Murry Riddle, and Jimmy Russell. Honorary pallbearers are Floyd Sanders, Rodney Iverson, Ricky Dearman, Tommy Taylor, and the Shaw American Legion Post #126.
